NekoJob employers never ask for money. Candidates never ask employers for money. The only payment on NekoJob is Premium, paid on nekojob.com.

Red flags for candidates

  • They ask you to pay. A "visa fee", "processing fee", "medical fee", "ticket" or "deposit" before you start. Real employers do not ask for this.
  • The salary is too good to be true. A very high salary for little experience, or a job offer without any interview.
  • A WhatsApp-only "agent". No company name, no office, and they only want to chat on WhatsApp or Telegram.
  • They want your passport early. They ask for a passport copy or bank details before any interview.
  • They rush you. "Pay today or you lose the job."

Red flags for employers

  • A candidate asks you for money first. For example "send money for my ticket" or an advance before they start.
  • Fake documents. Certificates or references that you cannot check.
  • Pressure to pay outside a normal hiring process.

What to do

  1. Stop. Do not reply with personal documents.
  2. Do not pay. Not by M-Pesa, bank transfer, crypto, gift card or cash.
  3. Report it. Use the "Report" link on the job, profile or message on NekoJob.

What the law says (in short)

In the UAE, recruitment and hiring costs should be paid by the employer, not by the worker. Employers and agencies must not charge workers fees to get a job. Read your rights on the official UAE government portal: UAE labour rights (u.ae).
